CEO SEEKS NAMES OF SUITABLE OFFICERS FOR POSTING DURING ELECTIONS

Chandigarh, March 27:  In view of the ensuing Lok Sabha Polls, the Chief Electoral Officer has sought names of suitable officers of different ranks for posting, whenever needed, during the election process.

Disclosing this here today, an official spokesperson of office of Chief Electoral Officer said that the CEO, in a letter to the Chief Secretary, Punjab has demanded that the names of such officers, who could be posted whenever requirement arises during the poll process.

He said that 3 names of suitable officers for the post of Divisional Commissioner, 5 names for the Deputy Commissioner/District Election Officer, 5 names for SDM/ARO, 3 names for Inspector General of Police/Deputy Inspector General of Police, 5 names for Senior Superintendent of Police, 5 names for Deputy Superintendent of Police and 5 names of Assistant Excise and Taxation officers has been demanded.
