Education Minister orderes change in schools timings

CHANDIGARH, MAY 19:

The Education Minister, Punjab, Mrs. Aruna Chaudhary today ordered the change in timings of all Government, Private, Aided and Recognised schools of the state.

In a statement here today, the minister said that the timings of all the primary schools have been changed from 7:30 AM to 12 Noon while the middle, high and senior secondary schools would function from 7:30 AM to 12:30 Noon. She also said that the timings would be effective from 20th May, 2017. The minister also directed the department to intimate the changed timings to all the Circle Education Officers (CEOs), District Education Officers (DEOs), Block Primary Education Officers (BPEOs) and school heads.

Meanwhile, the Education Department has today also issued notification concerning summer vacations from 1st June to 30th June, 2017.
