Let CBI probe pastor murder case: Sukhbir

-- 22 July,2017

Ludhiana July 22
Former Deputy Chief Minister and SAD president Sukhbir Badal alleged that ‘Taliban raj’ is prevailing in the state where anti- national elements and gangsters have been given free rein by the government.
“The law and order is beyond the control of the police and the government. Criminals, gangsters and communal forces are operating with impunity. Punjab is facing a Taliban- like situation in the state,” Sukhbir opined.
He visited the ‘Temple of God’ church where pastor Sultan Masih was shot dead a few days ago. The Congress government was incompetent and the masih murder should be handed over to the CBI for an early breakthrough.
“Communal forces are trying to create a rift between Hindus, Sikhs and Christians to create unrest. Instead of dealing with such elements with a firm hand, Congressmen are playing politics on Masih’s death. If the DGP is saying that external forces could be behind the killing, then he should take steps to put such elements behind bars,” Sukhbir asserted.
Sukhbir said when Parkash Singh Badal was the CM, he left nothing to chance to maintain brotherhood among different religions and communities. The former CM personally visited every religious occasion of all communities, he added, he added.
