PROCESS INITIATED FOR CONSTRUCTING DR. AMBEDKAR RESEARCH CENTRE AT MOHALI: SADHU

CHANDIGARH, MAY 19:The Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes Welfare Minister, Punjab, S. Sadhu Singh Dharamsot has ordered to initiate the construction process of Dr. Ambedkar research centre at Mohali.

The Minister disclosed here today that it has been decided to construct the centre on one acre land belonging to the department. He also said that the departmental officials have been directed to make arrangements for preparing design/map of the centre and availability of funds concerning the project.

The Welfare Minister said that on the respective land Apart from Dr. Ambedkar Research Center, offices of Punjab Scheduled Castes Land Development and Finance Corporation (PSCFC) and Punjab Backward Classes Land Development and Finance Corporation (Backfinco) will also be constructed so that the entire work is done under one roof.

On the occasion, Principal Secretary, Welfare, Mr. R. Venkatratnam, Executive Director PSCFC and BACKFINCO Mr. G.K. Singh, Director, Welfare Department Mr. Malwinder Singh Jaggi, Director SC sub-plan Mr. Raj Bahadur and other welfare department officials were also present.
