Chandigarh: March 26: The Shiromani Akali Dal today decided to hold constituency wise rallies across the state to accelerate its poll campaign for the ensuing parliamentary elections after concluding a long series of interactions with the party workers by the party president S. Sukhbir Singh Badal. It said that the SAD president will start holding these rallies from 31st March by addressing three rallies each day onwards.
Sharing these details, the Political Secretary to SAD president and party spokesperson, S Charanjit Singh Brar said that SAD president had been hold the interactions with party workers in 101 constituencies so far and he would soon complete the worker’s meet program in the remaining 8 constituencies. “Holding huge rallies in every constituency of Punjab is on the SAD agenda for the next phase of the poll campaign, which will be addressed by the senior leadership of both parties SAD and BJP,” he added.
S. Brar further added that first rally will be held in Nurpur bedi of Ropar constituency following by two more rallies at Balachaour and Garhshankar constituencies respectively on the same day. The SAD leader said that on April 1, two rallies will be organized at Khannna and Amargarh constituencies respectively and subsequently two rallies will be held at Attari and Rajasansi constituencies on April 4. “After that three rallies will be held at Chamkour Sahib, Kharar and Mohali constituencies on April 6,” he added.
Divulging further details, S Brar said that two rallies will be held at Nakodar and Phillour constituencies on April 8, following by a huge rally at Banga constituency in the evening. He said that on April 9, poll rallies will be organized at Samrala, Sahnewal and Payal constituencies. The SAD to hold three rallies at Nabha, Samana and Shutrana constituencies on April 10. “On April 11, poll rallies will be organized at Gidderbaha, Jaiton and Rampura constituencies respectively,” he said.
The SAD leader said that the party worker’s interactions with the SAD president have infused new energy into the rank and file and they would likely to get more enthused after the rallies.
