Mi fans in India are treated to a bit of good news this Holiday season as Xiaomi has now launched its hugely successful Poco F1 handset in an all-new configuration. The Chinese smartphone giant has introduced the Armoured Edition of the handset in a 6GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration, thereby making this version of the handset accessible to a different range of customers as it now comes with a price tag starting at Rs 23,999.
Previously, this variant of the handset was limited to just the top of the line configuration of 256GB storage and 8GB RAM that features a heftier price tag of Rs 28,999.
Apart from the Armoured Edition, Xiaomi also sells a 6GB/64GB variant, which is its most affordable configuration in a standard Black, Red and Blue colour options.
So what’s unique about the Armoured Edition? This version features a DuPont Kevlar rear as opposed to a polycarbonate back panel. The Kevlar rear is more durable and has a neat design on the rear that’s reminiscent of the material that’s used in body armour.
To recall, the Poco F1 features a 6.18-inch IPS LCD notched display and is powered a Snapdragon 845 SoC along with 6GB/8GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB/256GB of internal storage. There are a 12MP+5MP dual rear camera setup and a 20MP selfie camera. The rear camera setup also offers features such as 4K video recording, Slow Motion Video, Portrait mode, and HDR. It is backed by a 4000mAh battery with support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+. The starting price of the smartphone is Rs 20,999.
