CHANDIGARH, MAY 11: Punjab Education Minister Mr. Om Prakash Soni today congratulated the students of class 12th for their excellent performance in class in Class XII exams especially those who got positions in the merit list as per results declared by the Punjab School Education Board.
In a statement issued here today, the Minister said that the efforts being made to achieve the parameters set by the Chief Minister for transforming the Education Department have started showing results. The Minister said it was the result of tireless efforts of teaching fraternity and Principals in Schools that 86.41 pass percentage has been achieved this time which is a huge leap in comparison with the 65.97 percent achieved during the previous year. He also congratulated the members of the teaching fraternity for their utmost dedication and commitment to ensure better results.
The Minister said that the improvement this year pertaining to the 10th and 12th results have proved that the policies being pursued by the Punjab Government for improving the lot of school education are yielding positive results.
The Minister hoped that results of the Punjab School Education Board would touch 100 percent mark in the coming years and urged the school teachers and principals to work zealously to achieve far better results in future too. He also congratulated Secretary, School Education, all Officers and employees of the education department for this remarkable achievement.
