Pipli rally will be a turning point in Haryana politics – SAD

-- 17 August,2018

Chandigarh, August 17 – The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) today announced its August 19 Pipli rally would be a turning point in Haryana politics and pave the way for the SAD to go in alone successfully in the State.

In a statement here, senior leader and SAD Haryana Incharge Balwinder Singh Bhundur said the SAD was all set to hold a historic rally at Pipli which would be addressed by party president Sukhbir Singh Badal. He said the rally had assumed significance because it would be the first rally to be held independently by the SAD in Haryana.

Mr Bhundur said the rally would witness a huge participation from Ambala, Kurukshetra, Kaithal and Karnala districts even as SAD district officer bearers from across the State would also attend it.

Party Secretary Charanjit Singh Brar said all requisite arrangements had been made to make the party event a huge success. He said besides adequate arrangements to seat thousands of party workers and supporters at the Dana Mandi in Pipli, the SAD had made arrangements for parking and refreshments.

Haryana SAD president Sharanjit Singh Sohta said there was tremendous enthusiasm amongst the Punjabi community which had started feeling disillusioned with the political set up in the State after the passing away of Choudhary Devi Lal. He said the Sikh community also felt that it was not given due respect by various political parties in Haryana and it was looking up to the SAD to lead the community. “We will together script a new history in Haryana politics by becoming a viable force in the 2019 parliamentary elections”, he added.

Senior Haryana SAD leaders who will participate in the rally include Raghujit Singh Virk, Amarjit Singh Mangi, Baldev Singh Kaimpur, Ravinder Kaur Ajrana, Kartar Kaur, Balbir Singh and Sukhbir Singh Mandi.
