23 INDIAN STUCK IN DUBAI GET VISAS TO RETURN HOME

New Delhi, October 9 : The Indian Government has started issuing visas to the 23 Indians stuck in Dubai after being trapped in net by travel agents. This issue was raised by the Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee (DSGMC) General Secretary Mr. Manjinder Singh Sirsa with the External Affairs Minister Mrs. Sushma Swaraj.

Mr. Sirsa informed here that he has received information from Indian Embassy in Dubai that Visa stamping of most Indian workers have been done now. Now the company has started giving them leave of 1-2 months as the workers wish. He further informed that one Mr. Vimal has left for home today and others will follow soon depending on the period of leave they applied for.

The DSGMC General Secretary said that he had raised the issue with Mrs. Swaraj and the ministry has acted swiftly in the matter. He said that these persons were stuck in Dubai prison for no mistake or Crime. He said that he got the information about the ordeal the are facing from a video viral on the social media. He said that they were lodged in jails and their passports were with the company. He said that Indian Embassy acted swiftly and got their passports released from company as well as issued them visas enabling them to return home.

Thanking the External Affairs Minister Mrs. Sushma Swaraj and officials at the Indian Embassy in Dubai, Mr. Sirsa said that the noble and kind gesture of the Indian government has enabled these youth to return to their homes. He said that though the government is trying hard to aware the people to not to get trapped in the net of illegal travel agents but still people do mistakes and face problems in this regard. He also appealed the people to be aware and contact only those travel agents which are approved from the concerned authorities.
