3 militants killed as Army foils infiltration bid along LoC

Kupwara, June 6

At least three militants were killed in wee hours of Wednesday after an infiltration bid was foiled in bordering Machil sector of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, around 165 Kms from Srinagar.
Troops noticed suspicious movement along the LoC in Macchil sector in Kupwara district and challenged the infiltrators, an Army official said.
hree militants were killed in the ensuing gunfight, he said, adding search operations were on in the area.
The operation comes less than two weeks after army foiled an infiltration bid and killed five militants in Kupwara’s bordering Tanghdar sector.
