Burn effigies of those who betrayed Panth: Jakhar

Jalandhar: Punjab Congress chief Sunil Jakhar, reacting to the burning of his effigies by SAD leaders and workers on Saturday, said SAD chief Sukhbir Badal should rather introspect as to whose effigies should have ideally been burnt. “Had I deceived the Panth, received Rs 100 crore from Sirsa dera chief or ordered firing upon protesters, my effigies should have certainly been burnt,” he said. Calling the SAD chief as “Sukhbir Singh Insaan”, Jakhar said: “Senior SAD leaders, including Sukhdev Dhindsa, Ranjit Brahmpura, Tota Singh and Balwinder Bhunder, will come out and ask Sukhbir to apologise for the firing episode. Those who are showing dissent for not participating in the Assembly session are right.”
