C.E.O. PUNJAB DECLARES PAID HOLIDAY FOR RAJASTHAN’S VOTERS ON POLL DAY OF 6TH MAY, 2019

Chandigarh, 04 May 2019 :

To enable the every person employed in any business, trade, industrial undertaking or any other establishment in Punjab and entitled to vote and residing in District Ganganagar of Rajasthan State. The Chief Electoral Officer of Punjab declared paid holiday for Rajathan’s voters to cast their vote on the poll day of 6th May, 2019.

Giving details here, the Chief Electoral Officer of Punjab Dr. S. Karuna Raju said that this holiday shall be granted on the day of poll of 6th May 2019 so that voters of Rajasthan working in Punjab and residing in district of Ganganagar of Rajasthan State can cast their vote during General Election to Lok Sabha , 2019 . He said that no deduction or abatement of the wages shall be made on account of above holiday.

“Any contravention of the above provision is punishable as per the provisions of Section 135B ( 3 ) of the Representation of the People Act , 1951”, he added.
