Captain Government should fulfill its ‘job- -to-every-household’ promise soon: Principal Budhram

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA and Core Committee chief of the party, principal Budhram has urged the Captain Amarinder Singh government to immediately fulfill the promise to providing job in every household it made to the youth in the state ahead of the Assembly elections.

In a statement issued from party headquarters in Chandigarh here on Friday, principal Budhram said that the government should, instead of wasting its quality time on wasteful propaganda on the so-called ‘achievements’,  focus more on the issues of concern. He added that propaganda was nothing but a ploy to distract peoples’ attention from the core issues of concern.

Budhram said that the education set up in the state had gone for a toss owing to the stubborn attitude of the subsequent governments changing hands in power. He said the students were allowed to suffer due to ill-conceived policies of the government. AAP MLA further said that it had made no recruitments in schools and colleges for years now. Due to the scarcity of teachers, schools results had gone from bad to worse, he said.

He said it was a matter of disgrace that TET qualified teacher were forced to take to extreme steps, like ascending water reservoirs and adopt other measures to ventilate their ire and make the deaf dispensation here them. They are left to take to roads for their legitimate demands.

The AAP leader urged that the government should come forward and hold hands of the a large number of teachers who were agitating on the roads and appoint at least those who were TET qualified, thereby help bring the crumbling education set up back on the rails.
