Kharar/Chamkaur Sahib, Apr 7

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur and SAD president Sukhbir Badal today addressed a rally in Kurali in favour of Prem Singh Chandumajra, who is contesting from Ananadpur Sahib Lok Sabha constituency on SAD ticket.
Sukhbir claimed that the Congress was a divided house with an open tug-of-war going on between Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh and PCC chief Sunil Jakhar over the issue of stalled development works and candidates for the upcoming elections. He alleged that both were encouraging rebels wherever their candidates have not been allotted ticket.

Address a rally in Chamkaur Sahib, Sukhbir alleged that due to lack of development in the state there was frustration among Congress leaders which had led to feud between Jakhar and Capt Amarinder. “How an army can win the war when its generals are fighting with each other?” he claimed.
He said the people must decide whether such leaders could lead them, who were fighting with each other.

Thakur said, “A strong and decisive leadership is going to be the main issue in the elections. The people have decided to vote for the NDA to elect Narendra Modi Prime Minister again.”

He said thousands of Himachals were residing in this part of the state. He appealed to them to vote for Chandumajra, claiming that the SAD and the BJP had strong ties for the last many decades.

Appreciating Chandumajra, he claimed that the sitting MP ensured overall development of the constituency. Later, interacting with media he said party leader Bikram Singh Majithia would not contest the upcoming elections.
