Muktsar: The family of Congress MLA from Muktsar Karan Kaur Brar cleared its electricity dues of Rs 18 lakh on Friday. Kuldeep Verma, Executive Engineer, PSPCL, Muktsar, said, “The Brar family gave us cheques of Rs 11 lakh on Friday. Besides, they have given a post-dated cheque of Rs 7 lakh. Once the cheque is encashed, their dues will be cleared.” The PSPCL authorities had discontinued power to three connections of the Brar family on February 20 for non-payment of bills amounting to Rs 25 lakh. The family had paid Rs 8 lakh a few days ago.
