Dr. S.K Misra Joined as Registrar NIT Jalandhar

Alumni of IIM Bangalore Dr. Sushendra Kumar Misra today joined Dr. B. R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology (NIT Jalandhar) as Registrar. He joined this post on deputation from I. K. Gujral Punjab Technical University. He was with IKG PTU as Finance Office since 2013. He joined IKG PTU in 2004 as Controller of Finance and also worked on difference position. Dr. Mishra has more than 15 years of experience in the field of Administration, Educational Planning & Management, Finance and Accounting, Research, Skill Development, Public Policy etc.

Dr. S. K. Mishra Holds Ph.D in Management and did his post graduation in Public Policy from Indian Institute of Management(IIM), Bangalore and Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Lucknow University, Lucknow. He is also Alumni of Syracuse University, USA. He is member of National and International organization such as All India Management Association (AIMA), Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), Youth Hostels Association of India, Association of Indian Management Scholars International (AIMS), Houston (USA), also Associate Fellow of World Business Institute, Australia. He attended International training program on Public Policy & Management at Syracuse University, New York, USA and International training program on ‘Budgeting, Accounting & Financial Management” at ICPE, Slovenia, Europe.

He published research paper, articles and chapter in books in the field of Finance, Management, Accounts, Skill Development, Banking, and Public Policy etc.

On his joining he told about his Future plans related to NIT. Dr Misra said that his prime moto is to provide support service in very efficient manner to students, faculty, staffs to make this institute as a world class institute at least at par with IIT and Top among NITs and to put in place standards operating procedure for all activities to bring full transparency in work. Prompt delivery of service to the students, faculty and all other stakeholders. He always preferred use of Digital working environment so it is also in his line work. Dr Misra said that Implementation of Academic ERP to provide online solution to the students, faculty, staff, Clearance of pending issues is also on top priority.

Meanwhile, today morning, the Finance and Account department of IKG PTU gave him best wishes treat and at NIT, the staff and faculty welcomed him.
