ECI ACCORDS PERMISSION FOR TENDERING OF WORK TO CELEBRATE 550th BIRTH ANNIVERSARY OF SRI GURU NANAK DEV JI

The Election Commission of India (ECI) today gave its nod for tendering of work to celebrate 550th Birth Anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji.

 

The Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab Dr. S. Karuna Raju stated that the Punjab Government has sought clarification in this regard for tendering, opening of tenders, allotment of work, start of execution of 7 numbers works to be undertaken for the 550th Birth Anniversary Celebration of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. He said that Punjab Government is also sought permission to make payments and permission for tendering, opening of tenders, allotment of work, start of execution of 21 numbers.

 

He further said that Commission has no objection to the proposals from MCC angle as made therein subject to the condition that no publicity should be given and no political mileage shall be taken by anyone.
