Every Indian is proud of IAF pilot Abhinandan, says PM Modi in TN

Kanyakumari: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressing a public meeting in Tamil Nadu’s Kanyakumari on Friday said, “India’s first defence minister is from Tamil Nadu and IAF pilot Abhinandan is also from Tamil Nadu, we are proud of them.”

Talking about ‘Make in India’, PM said he flagged off the fastest train Tejas between Madurai – Chennai and it is a great example of ‘Make in India’, having been manufactured in the Integral Coach factory of Chennai itself.

Slamming the Opposition, PM said after 30 years, a stable government with parliamentary majority was formed. People wanted honesty not dynasty, security not surrender, opportunities not hurdles. Citizens wanted progress, not policy paralysis.

“In 2014, people’s message was clear – they wanted a government that takes bold and tough decisions,” said Modi.

Continuing to criticise the opposition, Modi said when 26/11 happened, India expected action against terrorists but nothing happened. When Uri and Pulwama happened, everyone saw what our brave soldiers did.
