-- 04 May,2017

Chandigarh, May 4
The Haryana Assembly on Thursday passed the Goods and Services Tax Bill becoming the eighth state in the country to do so.
Earlier, Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda and INLD leader Abhay Chautala wanted a statement by the Chief Minister on the SYL before presenting the GST Bill. Hooda wanted CM Manohar Lal Khattar to speak on the SYL issue, but his demand was rejected.
The Congress then staged a walkout to protest against the delay in the CM’s reply on the SYL.
Actor Vinod Khanna figured in the list of obituary references as the session began.
After the GST Bill was tabled in the House, the debate on GST began. Karan Dalal of the Congress raised apprehensions on the Bill, especially pertaining to profits and losses in specific departments.
