Istri Akali Dal protests in front of the residence of CM

Chandigarh, October 25- The SAD women wing of Istri Akali Dal led a protest against the Chief Minister at his residence against the sexual harassment of a senior IAS officer.

The Istri Akali Dal while demonstrating against the obnoxious behaviour of the cabinet minister demanded his immediate dismissal from the government. The women leaders also gave a memorundum at the residence of the CM asking that a “safe workplace” environment should be insured to all women employees. Lamenting that the CM was not taking strict action against the perpetrator of sexual harassment the Istri Akali Dal district Presidents from the state, led by kuldeep kaur kang asked that the name of the cabinet minister should be immediately released so that the entire cabinet does not bear the brunt of being accused of serious allegations of sexual harassment.

The Memorandum has also asked for dismissal of the minister and a case be registered against him under the law for this serious crime against women.

” we demand exemplary action against the culprit so that a message goes loud and clear that sexual harassment of women will not be tolerated in the state.” Said kuldeep kaur kang, district president of Istri Akali Dal Mohali.

Prominent women leaders who protested today were Bibi Harjinder Kaur, kuldeep kaur, Surinder Kaur, Manpreet Kaur Hundal, Gurdeep kaur brar, Nirmal kaur Sekhon and Kashmir kaur.
