Kumaraswamy meets Sonia, Rahul to work out modalities of govt formation

New Delhi, May 21

JD(S) leader H D Kumaraswamy on Monday called on Congress president Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi here to discuss modalities of formation of new government in Karnataka.
“We will give a stable government, modalities of formation of new govt to be worked out after meeting Sonia, Rahul,” Kumaraswamy said before meeting the Congress leaders.
Kumaraswamy, who will take over as chief minister of Karnataka on May 23, earlier met BSP chief Mayawati here and discussed plans of putting in place a Congress-JD(S) government.
The JD(S) contested the Karnataka election in a pre-poll alliance and later had a post-poll tie-up with the Congress.
