Malik: Cong govt betrayed people’s trust

Dasuya (Hoshiarpur), April 4

Under the leadership of state BJP president and Rajya Sabha MP Shwait Malik, the Kisan Morcha organised a rally here today, in which thousands of farmers participated.

Malik said the enthusiasm among the farmers for the Kisan Morcha’s conference was indicative of the fact that the BJP had made strong penetration even in rural areas.

Malik alleged that when farmers of the state were committing suicides, the Congress government was silently watching the show.
“The Modi government understood the pain of the farmers and announced to Rs 6,000 a year directly into their accounts. Many Congress leaders are dreaming of capturing power with false attractive promises, but their dreams will never be fulfilled,” he added.

Malik said the Capt Amarinder Singh-led Congress government betrayed the trust which the public showed to them.
