Opposition stages walkout in J&K Assembly over civilian’s killing

There was a massive uproar in Jammu and Kashmir Assembly on Wednesday over the civilian killing in Kulgam.
Opposition members stormed into Well of the House.
NC and Congress MLAs raised slogans of ‘Stop innocent killings’.
Business of the House remained disrupted.
The opposition said the Centre and the government had been claiming that the situation had improved then why the people were being killed.
Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti was not present in the House.
On Tuesday, one Khalid Hussain Dar of Redwani Payeen of Kulgam district was killed. After the incident, Chief Minister had directed the district administration to conduct a probe to know the reasons of the killing and come up with a report at the earliest.
Kulgam DC Talat Parvez had appointed Additional District Development Commissioner as the inquiry officer to ascertain the facts about the death. He was told to submit the report in two weeks.
The entire opposition staged a walkout in the Assembly. They said they would boycott the House till the time the government made its reply.
Independent MLA Engineer Abdul Rashid was marshalled out over the issue of civilian killing.
