Aam Aadmi Party senior leader and leader of opposition in Punjab Vidhan Sabha, Adv. H.S. Phoolka toady visited government school of village Jassowal in Ludhiana district which recorded 10% result in recently announced 12th class results of Punjab School Education Board. He said that he will be visiting these kind schools throughout Punjab to know the reason of poor level of education in government schools.

Addressing the media, Phoolka said that 78 students out of 82 of class 12th got failed and only 4 could manage to pass the class. The school has just 2 teachers to teach 82 students of class 11th and 12th. He said that it is a matter of shame and worrisome that level of school education has gone so low in the state. Phoolka talked to the Deputy Commissioner over the phone and asked him to constitute an inquiry in the matter. “Mere transfer of the concerned principal will not do any good but the responsibility should be fixed in the matter”.

Phoolka flayed the claims of previous and present government to correct the school education system in the state. He said that corruption and lack of concern in government departments is the root cause of failed system in the state. He said that it is the need of the hour to maintain the Student-Teacher in government schools to raise the level of education in state.

Showing his anger over the apathy of government officials and education minister, Phoolka said, “Around a week has passed since the result has announced but no official has bothered to know the reason of poor result. The education department and concerned minister must give statement on the issue”. He repeated that nobody will be allowed to ruin the future of the children in the state.
