PUNJAB CM EXPRESSES SHOCK, ASKS AMRITSAR ADMINISTRATION TO EXTEND HELP TO FAMILIES OF 7 KILLED IN TRAGIC ACCIDENT

Chandigarh, June 18: Expressing shock and anguish at the death of seven persons in a road mishap on their way back to Delhi after paying obeisance at the Golden Temple, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Monday directed the Amritsar administration to extend all help to their families.

The Chief Minister also asked the district administration to ensure the best medical care for the child who survived in the accident that took place when their vehicle rammed into a stationary truck at Khilchian in Amritsar district.

The Chief Minister also issued strict instructions to the Traffic Police to maintain strict round-the-clock surveillance on speed limit offenders and other violators of traffic rules, on both National and State highways, to ensure the safety of commuters.
