SAD rubbishes panel report on Daduwal CM meeting

Chandigarh December 15 – The Shiromani Akali Dal today re-asserted that the Congress party and its government in Punjab had been holding secret and conspiratorial nocturnal meetings to collude with “the so-called radical Sikh leaders” and been holding secret nocturnal meetings with them to cook up conspiracies to defame the senior and respected leaders of the SAD in order to render the Sikh community leaderless.

The SAD also rejected and rubbished a report which had contradicted the sensational expose’ made by the the SAD chief Sukhbir Badal on the secret and conspiratorial meetings which some so-called radical leaders, including Baljeet Singh Daduwal, held with the Punjab CM Captain Amaridner Singh before the tabling of the Ranjit panel report in the assembly on August 27.

“ It is incredibly ridiculous that the person who has set up the panel – Captain Amarinder Singh – is one of the two persons in the
said meeting while the panel is headed by another conspirator, Sukhjinder Singh Randhwawa. They perhaps forgot to include even
Daduwal I the committee, or may be they thought that his presence was not necessary since he was represented there by Mr Randhawa,” said two senior Akali leaders , former FM Parminder Singh Dhindsa and party senior vice president Mahesh Inder Singh Grewal. In a statement here, the Akali leaders said, “How false and ridiculous the panel’s claims on the meeting between Daduwal and Captain Amaridner Singh is can be seen from the fact that while the panel denies such a meeting , Daduwal had himself confirmed it when he was badly cornered by the media and the SAD. Daduwal too had at first denied the meeting, but when SAD president Sardar Sukhbir Singh Badal revealed the registration numbers of the car in which Daduwal had travelle to meet the CM and also revealed the data on the location of his cell phone, Daduwal was but to concede the fact that he had indeed met the CM,” said the Akali leaders.

Mr Dhindsa and Mr Grewal further said that the Congress party’s hobnobbing with the so-called radical leaders had a deep rooted and conspiratorial agenda against the Sikh community to divide the Sikhs against one another and start a civil war in the community, and finally to render the Sikhs leaderless.” The entire propaganda against SAD on the issue of sacrilege of Shri Guru Granth Sahib was a part of the design to defame the Sikh leaders for the achievement of the same objective., the SAD leaders said. “This is because the Congress party in Punjab, especially its leaders like Sunil Jakhar, are fully aware that there is no way they can wash and cleanse the bloodied hands of their party, fully soaked, seeped and drenched in the blood of thousands . The Congress leaders also know that the Sikh masses will never forgive Indira Gandhi for sending armoured vehicles into Harmandar Sahib and rolling tanks and mortars to destroy the highest seat of Sikh religio-temporal authority, Sri Akal Takhat Sahib.

For these reasons, the Congress wants to keep the Sikhs distracted by engaging them against their own leaders.
