SGPC submits report on Dera support at Akal Takht

Amritsar, March 6: The SGPC today submitted its report on the support taken by the Sikh candidates in the Assembly election to Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh.

Probe committee members Amarjit Singh Chawla and Gurcharan singh Grewal handed over the report to the Jathedar.

Jathedar Gurbachan Singh said action on the report would be considered in the next meeting of the Takht chiefs after Hola Mohalla.

It may be mentioned that the SGPC had constituted a 3-member panel to go into the support extended by the controversial Dera Sacha Sauda to the Akali Dal publicly. The committee had neem set up on the directive of Akal Takht.
