SIRSA ASKS SPEAKER TO ENSURE VIDEOGRAPHY OF PROCEEDINGS OF HOUSE COMMITTEES

New Delhi, May 30 : The Delhi MLA Mr. Manjinder Singh Sirsa has urged the Speaker of the Delhi Assembly Mr. Ram Niwas Goel to order videography of all the proceedings of the House Committees so as to ensure transparency as well as stopping the members to harass the IAS and other officers by these committees on one pretext or the other.

Taking serious note of the harassment of two women IAS officers by the Question Reference Committee headed by Mr. Saurav Bhardwaj AAP MLA, in a letter written to Delhi Assembly Speaker Mr.Ram Niwas Goel, Mr. Sirsa said that it was most unfortunate that after being failed in ensuring security of the women in the National Captial, now the AAP leadership is stooping too low and harassing the women officers which is not less than outraging their modesty.

He said that these committees and their members have no legitimate or legal right to harass any officer particularly the women officers. He said that it was most unfortunate to see that after attacking the Chief Secretary, now these MLAs of the ruling party are openly issuing threats and using pressure tactics to get works done according to their own sweet will. He said that it is most urgent to stop these MLAs from taking law into their own hands and work in a dictatorial style.

He said that to ensure transparency in the proceedings of these committees it is necessary to do videography of these proceedings. He said this is the only way to ensure autocratic behavior of the AAP leadership who are mostly in these committees.

Urging the Speaker to order videography of proceedings of all the House Committees, Mr. Sirsa said that if the Honorable Speaker fails to act on his appeal then he will move Delhi High Court to get these instructions passed.

Mr. Sirsa also said that in the past too AAP leadership had tried to cover up the scams of Mr. Surinder Bansal Co Brother of Chief Minister Mr. Arvind Kejriwal and other leadership of the party whether it is CCTV Camera purchase scam, Tranport Scam or other. He said that now again the party leadership is trying to pressurize the officers to toe their line.

The Delhi MLA also said that it is duty of the Elected government to work for the welfare of the people but it seems that this government is only interested in loot and plunder of the public money.
