SIT files challan against former SSP Charanjit Sharma in Behbal kalan firing case

Chandigarh, April 24: Special Investigation team(SIT) constituted to investigate Behbal Kalan firing case today filed a challan against former Senior Superintendent of Police(SSP), Moga Charanjit Singh Sharma in the court of Judicial Magistrate, Faridkot pertaining to FIR number 130, registered at police station Bajakhana, Faridkot under section 302/307/201/218/166-A/120-B of IPC act, and 25/27/54/59 of Arms Act.

            Disclosing this here today, an official spokesperson of the Punjab Police said investigation of this case led by SIT is under progress. Those who found guilty would be prosecuted in accordance with law and after the completion of the investigation supplementary challan would be filed in the court.

             It is pertinent to mention here that, former SSP Moga Charanjit Sharma accused in this case is currently under judicial custody.
