-- 16 November,2018

Chandigarh, November 16: Former Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal who was today questioned by the special investigating team probing cases relating to sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib in 2015 alleged that the investigation was politically motivated and its report would be vetted by Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh.

He objected to questioning by IGP Kunwar Vijay Partap Singh. SIT chief Prabodh Kumar finally talked to Badal. He was questioned for about 20 minutes.

Talking to the media, he expressed the apprehension that though he had been questioned as a witness, he might be charged later.

He said it was for the first time in the history of Punjab that a former chief minister had been questioned in a case under Section 307.

At the same time, he maintained that he was not scared of going to jail.

He today again talked of efforts to disturn peace and harmony in the state.
