UK MP Dhesi takes up Johal’s case with British High Commission

Chandigarh, November 16: British MP Tanmanjit Singh Dhesi has called upon British High Commission to intervene in the case of arrest of British national Jagtar Singh Johal by Punjab police in cases of political killings in the state during the last about two years.

He has tweeted:

Distressing to hear via the legal counsel of #JagtarSinghJohal that representatives from @UKinIndia failed to attend the latest hearing in #court. Strongly urge #Deputy#HighCommissioner in #Chandigarh #AndrewAyre to intervene and ensure wellbeing of #British citizen.
